A NIGHT IN SPACE OF OMEGA
In 1969 the world witnessed one of the greatest achievements of mankind, man's first step on the moon. With the Speedmaster wrist, this pioneering time made history for the entire world and for the revolutionary watchmaker.
On May 12 in Houston, Texas, it was held a special event to honor the ongoing commitment of OMEGA in space exploration. OMEGA has been at the forefront of exploring the moon like no other brand of watches and its accuracy has supported the success of the missions.
This unforgettable evening came to life in a huge hangar, transformed for the occasion in a starry universe. From the moment the event began guests are entered into a spaceship that brought them within a spectacular setting moon. Among the guests of honor astronauts Gene Cernan, General Thomas Stafford, Captain James Lovell along with some celebrity community of Houston: the style icon Lynn Wyat, philanthropist Becca Cason Thrash, the NFL player Chester Pitts, the 'actress Joanna Garcia Swisher as well as a number of industry legends.
On stage, the brand ambassador George Clooney shared his appreciation for the astronauts with the audience. "It was a time in our country, where people needed to dream. You are an inspiration and pride for us and it is an honor for me to share with you this stage".
