Venus, the goddess of beauty born of sea- foam, inspires the 2015 Spring-Summer collection by Renato Balestra.

Everything is permeated with supreme lightness. The dominating colours are pale ivory, almost a second skin, and soft blue, sometimes used together such as for the sheer cloak with two-tone intarsia.

Tiny frills of very fine tulle are reminiscent of sea foam and the countless organza threads create a delicate seaweed effect.

The nuvola (“cloud”) tulle cocktail dresses are ornamented with embroidery or golden brushstrokes, while evening gowns display showers of exquisite, pale dew-like embroidery.

For the grand finale the bride is in delicate ivory, the leitmotiv of the collection. She advances gracefully wearing a sheer bodice embroidered with iridescent crystals, giving a water-like effect to the silhouette, from which a thousand streams of tulle flow in a cascade.
