INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY POLO CHALLENGE
Intense final that played Saturday, July 11, at the Polo Club Roman Aqueduct for the 2015 edition of the International University Polo Challenge (IUPC).
To contend for the coveted cup challenge Americans of Cornell University with a polo team made up of three girls and one European team, the quartet of University of London which has prevailed for 6 to 4.
The match was exciting. After two chukker which showed the supremacy of the University of London with a James Cooper in evidence , third in the final phase of the game, dragged by a wild Anna Winslow, there was the peremptory comeback Cornell who has scored three goals. When it looked like the match could be reserved other surprises, however, came the sixth marking of University of London which set of 6 to 4 the final result.
University of London is the only polo team also participated in 2013 and 2014 in the tournament, and Peter Elser who is the organizer, the day before he 'teased' Londoners wondering if he ever would be able to win.
Since the program were also played the finals for declaring the other positions of the standings. In that for the third and fourth Australians University of Sydney you have been imposed at the last second for 6 to 5 on Pakistanis in Lahore. The Accra Ghana Business School has instead placed fifth after beating (3 to 2) Americans of Princeton.
Best player of the tournament, however, was named the Australian Jasper White.
