RADIOMIR 1940 3 DAYS CERAMICS
As with all watches Officine Panerai, it is the story the great inspiration of the new Radiomir 1940 3 Days Ceramics. The details of the new creation recount but also the ability of the Panerai of Neuchatel to renew the heritage of the brand with high technical solutions to contemporary sports watches.
The Radiomir case 1940 is presented for the first time on a highly technical and of great visual impact, thanks to the use of a matte black ceramic, synthesized from zirconium oxide. In comparison to steel - the material models Panerai period - the ceramic provides the highest performance in terms of hardness, lightness and scratch resistance to corrosion and high temperatures.
The charm of the watch is enhanced by a black dial with a sandwich structure, with indices point and linear spaces corresponding to the hours, to compose a set of great simplicity and clarity despite the very minimal design. Modernity absolute aesthetics of the dial is elegantly balanced by ecru Super-LumiNova used to make luminescent indexes, and the presence of a relief Slow Speed Torpedo, as if to remind that that quadrant, so apparently contemporary, born indeed at the end of the thirties for watches by Panerai supplied to the commandos of the Italian Navy.
On the back of the case, a large portholes with sapphire crystal burnished allows admiring the hand-wound P.3000 movement, entirely made in Panerai of Neuchatel. The gauge measures 16 1/2 lines - a characteristic size of vintage models - and comes up with wide satin bridges that cover most of the gear trains, a large balance of 13.2 mm in diameter and two barrels which ensure three days power reserve. The movement P.3000 also offers the device that oversees the quick adjustment time, allowing you to move the hour hand forward or backward in increments of one hour at a time, without interfering with the progress of the minute hand and the running clock.
The new Radiomir 3 Days Ceramica 1940 (PAM00577) is water resistant to 10 bar (100 meters deep), and accompanied by a brown leather strap untreated, with contrast stitching handmade, and closed by a buckle trapezoid. The latter, like the bottom, is made of titanium for its hypoallergenic properties and DLC coated to coordinate the color of the case.
